Where can I find good info. on lighting models?
I want to do a little 30sec short of a space ship battle. Since I don’t have the latest digital animation program nor the skills to operate such a program I have built two spacecraft models. I was wondering if anyone had any info on how to light the models to make them more realistic. Also I was wondering if anyone knew of a few camera techniques which would help the movement of the ships look a bit more fluid. Thanks.
I’ve done something similar and what I did was take a slide projector and put a black slide in it. I punched little holes in it. I hung the models and projected the slide behind it,set up my camera on a tripod and then turned the projector to make the small points of light move rather than having to move the model. I also used a black back ground and very low room lighting to light up the model.
